     In this class, we focus on stirring the pot, so to speak. We'll be exploring poses that promote the movement of blood and energy in the pelvis to nourish and nurture our reproductive organs. We'll also connect with our hearts and what is sometimes referred to as the second heart, the uterus.

Recommended Prop: a block or two (or a stack of pillows, a cushion, or a bolster)

Optional Props: a strap (or tie, belt, or scarf)

When to practice: whenever it fits your schedule and feels most supportive to you. Ultimately, it’s your call.

How often to practice: I usually recommend practicing some form of yoga at least three times/ week for my one-on-one clients, more often if it feels good to do so and it works for their schedule, less often if it doesn’t. Ultimately, it’s your call.

- How did I feel before I started this class?

- How do I feel now, after class?

- In this practice, in addition to circulation in the pelvis, we also explored our connection to our hearts and our center of gravity (our lower abdomen) and the connection between the two. Reflect on thoughts, emotions, and sensations that might have arisen as you paid attention to these areas.

Ask yourself, "What’s one simple thing I can do daily, this week, to connect with my heart and move my hips?"
