The Suffah Foundation is a local charity based in Huddersfield. On 27th October 2012 they organised a peaceful event called "Roses, Not Protest" in response to the recent attacks on the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The event took place in Huddersfield town centre at the Piazza between 12:00 and 14:00. The young Muslim men and women handed out a rose to the passing public in the belief that this unique approach would engage with the local community to spread the message of love and peace and enhance relationships between Muslims and non Muslims
