Throughout this course, you'll learn how to better incentivize, communicate with and understand your employees. What many companies fail to recognize is that culture can either be your company's biggest asset or your company's biggest liability with our innovation assessment.

We've studied tens of thousands of employees all across the world in dozens of industries. Our innovation assessment is a unique tool that not only evaluates how you approach creativity and innovation, but it also evaluates how your team feels about your company's culture and strategy.

And some of the things we've learned from the assessment are truly fascinating. We know that 53% of employees don't feel their company has a strong innovation strategy. We also know that 51% feel they are provided with the proper resources or tools to pursue new ideas, and 27% feel their ideas aren't even listened to.

I'm not going to lie. That's not great. But throughout this course, we're going to learn how to turn those numbers around and build a better work culture. Let's start by defining work culture at Trent Hunter. We like to look at work culture as the character, personality and energy of your organization.

It is the ethos that drives your employees, but more importantly, it's the way your employees feel every single day. And the funny thing about culture is that it's going to exist no matter what, no matter how little or how much you choose to prioritize it.

And the sooner that we can see the connection between culture and innovation, culture and growth, culture and success, the better off we'll all be. Now, beyond our research done through Trent Hunter and the assessment, 88% of employees believe that a strong culture is a competitive advantage in today's market.

Now, when I talk about work culture, I'm not referring to things like unlimited salad bars or in-office yoga classes, or even bring your dog to work days. I'm talking about the secret ingredients that you can't necessarily see, but that contribute to a thriving environment for you and your team.

Things like deliberate collaboration, open communication, opportunity for growth, aligned values and a consistently supportive environment for you and your team. After working with 600 of the world's most powerful brands and evaluating innovators from every corner of the workplace, we've identified the forces of modern work culture: Evolution, Engagement, Experience and Excellence.

Today, we'll take a closer look at each of these four to better understand how they impact the workplace today.
