Stage 2 of Tooth Decay: Enamel Decay

Описание к видео Stage 2 of Tooth Decay: Enamel Decay

In the third episode of our series "Stages of Tooth Decay," Wendy talks about cavities, which are holes in our teeth caused by the bacteria in plaque. She shows two tools the dentist uses to examine your teeth for cavities: 1) an explorer, used to gently probe your teeth for soft spots, and 2) bitewing x-rays, to locate decay between your teeth. X-rays are the only way a cavity can be seen before it gets larger and more difficult to treat. Untreated, cavities can penetrate the dentin, which Wendy will discuss in our next video.
