Train Cab Ride NL / HSL / Watergraafsmeer - Amsterdam - Breda / TRAXX Intercity / May 2019

Описание к видео Train Cab Ride NL / HSL / Watergraafsmeer - Amsterdam - Breda / TRAXX Intercity / May 2019

Cab ride on the Intercity Direct Service from Amsterdam to Breda. In this video you will have a little bonus. We will take another train from the shunting yard as well.

0:00 Watergraafsmeer
As you can see it's early in the morning and we depart with train 70912 from the Watergraafsmeer (train yard) to Amsterdam Central Station. This will be a slow ride a maximum 60km/h. But I thought it would be nice to show to you.

2:12 Amsterdam Muiderpoort

3:45 Dijksgracht (TEE + old DDM and DDAR sets)
On passing by the Dijksgracht you'll see lots of old trains waiting to be demolished. The only train with a future ahead is the TEE train. That will in a few years be taken away from here and is hoping to be restored some day!

6:04 Amsterdam Centraal
When we arrive in Amsterdam you'll see we'll pass a few yellow signals in a row. Such yellow signals always mean the next one can be red. That's why you always need to be very sharp as a driver when entering this pretty complex station.

After our arrival in Amsterdam we get off the train and board a new one an hour later. Then we depart perfectly on time as train 916 towards Breda. The ride will take us via Schiphol and then over the high speed line to Rotterdam. And after that the last part of the journey to Breda over the small part of the high speed line between Rotterdam Lombardijen and Breda Prinsenbeek. Oh and also the very last part of the journey to the shunting track in Breda is on this video! I hope you like it!

14:47 Amsterdam Sloterdijk
17:24 Amsterdam Lelylaan
21:07 (Tunnel) Schiphol Airport
28:12 Hoofddorp

28:31 Entering HSL
On entering the HSL the train must be changed from driving under 1.5kV DC to 25kV AC. Therefor the pantographs must be lowered until the neutral section of the voltage change over has been passed. The trains systems are then working on battery power. This is the same on leaving/entering the HSL at Rotterdam and Zevenberschenhoek.

30:56 Nieuw Vennep
35:39 Tunnel Groene Hart

41:18 Phase-lock Bleiswijk
This is where two sections of the overhead systems are separated from each other. This prevents too many trains running in one section getting too much power from the lines. There's another phase-lock located later on this route.

45:11 Tunnel Rotterdam + Leaving HSL
49:17 Rotterdam Centraal
54:25 Willemsspoortunnel + Rotterdam Blaak
56:25 Rotterdam Zuid

57:05 Rotterdam Stadion + Temporary Speed Limit
A temporary speed limit is set on this location because of damages tracks ahead. Therefor it's not allowed to pass those tracks on full speed. Soon this will be repaired.

58:37 Rotterdam Lombardijen + Entering HSL
1:06:10 Tunnel Dordtsche Kil + Brug Hollandsch Diep
1:08:28 Phase-lock Lage Zwaluwe + Leaving HSL
1:12:59 Breda Prinsenbeek
1:14:58 Breda (+ Shunting)

All speed limits and station names will be appearing in the screen on our way to our final stop. If you have any questions regarding this video please let me know in the comments!

I hope you enjoy the high voltage video! Cheers!
