In this episode, a topcoat prophylactic will be added to help the tweed remain disease free. Yes, another bad joke.
Minwax Wipe-on Poly will be used to help seal and protect the tweed from stains and such. As with everything, there are other ways (possibly better ways) to do this task.
I gave the cabinet three coats of the poly, all straight from the can. I had considered tinting the poly, but after some testing, felt it wasn’t worth messing with. They color looks good as is.
That’s all there is to it. In the next episode it is time to start the wiring part of this project, I know that’s what everyone really wants to see.
