1994 July - North Coast & Border Loop

Описание к видео 1994 July - North Coast & Border Loop

Part 2 of the July school holidays we travel to far northern NSW to witness the 'changing of the guard'; gone were the early era 81 and 45 class from northern rosters, and in were GM 81 class units working a mix of National Rail Corporation (NRC) and Freight Rail services, noting that NRC commenced some 10 weeks earlier.

This video is best viewed on a large screen with volume set to high. listen to the humming GM chant, as 81 class take up their first few weeks of new assignment on the far north. Enjoy magpies and native birds chattering away as we take note of typical NSW rail line side infrastructure as depicted at The Risk interlocking.

Sadly, 44 class were all but gone on the far north by July 1994. this video was fortunate enough to witness the last revenue working of a 45 class on a fright train ex Acacia Ridge, 4501 (minus side numbers).
