Things I learned today:
bamischijf is a dutch snack. It is "bami" that is breaded and deep fried. "bami" comes from the Indonesian / indo-chinese word "bakmi" which is fried noodles, or bakmi goreng. see the resemblance yet?! "bakmi" is pan mee. so essentially pan mee goreng, Indonesian style and is spicy. it was very delicious. 10/10 would eat again.
Poultry management in the EU is vastly different / "advanced" than other countries, that their "language" for many management or technological advancements and techniques, while novel to say, Canada, is normal for them. For instance, in-ovo sexing.
Many people here would not label the chicken as a monogastric animal.
MSc degree programs here are vastly different than North America. it seems less intense here and is for a much shorter period.
PhD degree programs here are typically by completed industry members. So, they are much older people already established in their careers, and are working for their companies whilst completing their PhD.
