Synopsis:
Clarissa Griffin, crown princess of Ark and heir to the throne, was only a child when her father was poisoned and she was forced into hiding. Living on the outskirts with a pair of bandits, she adopts the name “Clarke” and sticks to the shadows. In the capital, royal guard Bellamy Blake hears of his sister’s arrest, and the captain of the guard offers him a deal: in return for his sister’s release, Bellamy is sent on a solo mission to retrieve the mysterious Clarke and bring her back to the palace. Little does he know that she’s the lost princess, and she’s betrothed to Wells Jaha, son of the Chancellor. When Bellamy and Clarke meet, they form a tenuous friendship that begins to grow into something more. But tensions between Ark and neighboring nation Trikru are rising, and when Clarke and Bellamy fall into the hands of Trikru commander Lexa, they realize that war is coming. How far will Bellamy go to protect the people he loves, even if it means choosing between his past and his future? Can Clarke rise from obscurity to lead her people and secure peace for Ark? Will they perish in the flames of war, or rise from the ashes to build a new legacy?
