Console Sports Games of 1993 - Smash Tennis

Smash Tennis is a sports game based around tennis developed by Namcot and published by Namco and Virgin Interactive. Despite the game's name Smash Tennis, this game is not a part of Namco's Smash Court Tennis series, instead, the game is a part of the Family Tennis/World Court series that ran from 1987 until Family Tennis Advance in 2002.

Releasing in 1993 in Japan for the SNES, Smash Tennis would also receive a European release. Smash Tennis would be released in France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain and the UK. The game would eventually be released in the US, but not for 27 years with a digital version releasing on the Nintendo Switch in 2020.
