First Time in Vientiane, Laos 🇱🇦 What to Expect?

My first time in Laos, and I start off in Vientiane, the Capital. A smaller capital compared to others in Asia, but the city offers plenty of charm, sights, amazing food and welcoming people.
July is rainy season and the weather is hot and humid, but when the sun is out, the temples and markets captivates you, and you instantly fall in love with the people and the country.

My name is Alex, and in December of 2023, I quit my job, sold my apartment and all my belongings to pursuit a lifelong dream of traveling full time.

The idea of traveling solo, as a middle-aged man, is both exciting and daunting, so I decided to bring my camera, and document my experiences. Not only to share my journey but also in the hopes of showing how amazing and wonderful traveling and the world truly is. 🌍

My goal is to visit the traditional sights as well as the lesser-known places – on a budget – and do some volunteer work with animals whenever possible.
