THE SPIRIT OF FRIENDSHIP - The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (May 23, 2021)

Today is Pentecost Sunday. The Risen Lord is true to his word. He did send the Holy Spirit from the Father; and since the first Pentecost, the Spirit of Truth has been guiding and sanctifying the Church and her mission.
On that day, fifty days after Easter, “a noise like a strong driving wind” came from the sky and filled the upper room where the apostles were. “Tongues as of fire” rested on each of them, filling them with “the Spirit [that] enabled them to proclaim.”
Thanks to the Holy Spirit, we have been confirmed in our faith in the Risen Lord. And now that we are still struggling with the pandemic, we pray: “Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.”
