The BEST way to connect the Digitakt & SP404MKII // Dawless Midi Sync Beatmaking Tutorial

Today, We're going to walkthrough how to setup and midi sync the SP404 MKII and the Elektron Digitakt. These two are amazing on their own, but what happens when you combine them? We’ll go over the cables needed, the settings for each piece of gear and finally, why this combo is so powerful as a dawless setup. We’ll also make a beat to see just what this combo is capable of.

For this setup, I’m going to use the Digitakt as the “Brain”, sending midi information and tempo into the SP. You could do the opposite, but in my opinion the sequencer is the Digitakt’s superpower and the fx/long sample time is the SP’s, so I’d recommend going this route.
