All the Basses is a side project dedicated to showcasing some of the perhaps lesser known basses of years gone by. I do not claim to be a bass historian, I merely want to highlight some of the more interesting aspects of these instruments, and to showcase their tonality.

On this installment, we are looking at the Kent 822 Shortscale Hollowbody bass. This Made-in-Japan bass features two single pickups, a bolt-on maple neck, and lots of cool flourishes. It will certainly get your attention with its looks, but how about its tone?

The bass was recorded direct through a Scarlett 2i2 and a mic'd Aguilar SL-112 paired with my GK 800RB.
