As part of Disability Pride Month, Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation (CPARF) and CVI Now (part of the CVI Center at Perkins School for the Blind) hosted a joint event on Thursday, July 25, 2024. This launched CPARF’s new “CP &…” series, and it featured deep conversations about the connections between cerebral palsy (CP) and cerebral/cortical visual impairment (CVI) , including overlaps, personal experiences, and more. Hosted by CPARF’s Vice President of Education, Jocelyn Cohen, the conversation featured an expert panel speaking from lived experience and parental perspective: Dagbjört Andrésdóttir, lives with both CP and CVI Ali Mahady, CP & CVI Parent and CVI Now’s Outreach Manager Rachel Bennett, CVI Parent and CVI Now’s Director Lacey Smith, CP & CVI Parent and CVI Now’s Community Manager
