Ingredients for Creamy Chicken Karahi:

(Tsp- Teaspoon; Tbsp- Tablespoon )

Boneless Chicken 450 gms. - (thigh pieces)

Tempering:
Garlic slices (half slices) -1 tbsp (around 8-9 cloves)
Ginger juliennes- 1 tbsp
Green chillies cut into 2 inch pieces-4-5 chillies

Spice Powders:
Pepper powder- 1 tsp
Red Chilli flakes- 1.25 tsp
Coriander powder-1.25 tsp
Cumin powder- 3/4 tsp


Other Ingredients:
Ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
Whisked curd/yogurt- 3-4 tbsp
Fresh cream whisked- 3-4 tbsp
Roasted & crushed Kasuri Methi- 1 tsp
Salt-1 tsp
Oil- 3 tbsp
Coriander leaves chopped- 2-3 tbsp

Preparation:


Process:

Heat oil in a pan/kadhai and add the sliced/julienned ginger and garlic. Give a stir for a minute and add the chicken cubes.
Sear the pieces on high heat for 2 mins till the colour changes.
Now add the ginger garlic paste and the green chillies and keep frying on medium heat for another 2-3 mins.
Now add all the spice powders (other than fenugreek leaves) and salt and fry on medium heat for another 2 mins.
Switch off heat and add the whisked curd/yogurt. Give a mix and then switch on heat. Cook on low heat for around 2 mins and then cover with a lid. Cook covered on low heat for around 15-20 mins till tender.
Remove lid and add fresh cream & roasted crushed kasuri methi.
Simmer for 2-3 mins.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves & ginger juliennes.
Serve hot with nan, roti or kulcha.
