Visual Journaling : Lesson 3 | BLUEPRINT OF MY HEART with Justina Stevens & Cageless Birds

Visual journaling is a rhythm that we have cultivated as a ministry for the last decade. As a community, we have lovingly called this process ‘History Booking’, using this rhythm as a meeting place to cultivate memory, exercise gratitude and reject fear.

Each of us have been deeply impacted by the process of keeping a visual journal in communion with the Holy Spirit. Over the years, we have taught this to students and guests of our schools and retreats. Instead of simply journaling words or conversation with God, we have taught others to expand on that same process and use visual terms and methods.

We have found visual journaling to be an amazing way to cultivate stillness and contemplation at home and ANYWHERE you are with the Lord. Ultimately, we want to give you a resource to practice a posture of joy in your sonship and daughterhood before the Lord.

Lesson 3 with Creative Director Justina Stevens is called Blueprint of My Heart.

This is a prompt that was birthed in a season of hardship and prayer and is an exercise in practicing connection and getting the Lord’s perspective over seasons, and situations.This prompt is launched by asking Him a question, “God, what are the support beams that you are removing from my home? What are the new support beams that you are putting in?”

My sheep hear my Voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27

This prompt is an invitation to connection with the Father. We encourage you to be strong and courageous and press into His delight in you as you engage this powerful prompt.

Remember : the purpose of this lesson is not about perfection, but reflection!
