This is certainly one of the best camera phones of 2022, with a snazzy new mechanical aperture design including manual controls. I got great looking photos day or night, so the Huawei Mate 50 Pro is right up there with the Pixel 7 Pro and other smartphone rivals.

Once you install GBox, you can setup Google apps like GMail, Chrome and YouTube. However, not all of these may work as expected, as demonstrated here.

Gamers can download titles from the Play Store onto the Mate 50 Pro, which is just as well as the Huawei App Gallery isn't exactly bursting with quality games. Battery life is excellent and I like the design of this phone too, even if the Space Ring camera is a bit...big.
