Peanuts are called shenga, and usli or oggarane means spiced tempering in Kannada language. The name shenga usli refers to peanuts pan fried snack.

This peanuts saute-pan-fry recipe OR shenga usli or oggarane OR verkadalai sundal recipe uses shenga OR peanuts OR ground nuts. This recipe is very healthy and yet very simple to cook. It hardly takes about 10-15 mins to cook. This protein rich usli can be eaten as evening snack.

Ingredients:
Peanuts/Senga 1 cup
Green Chilli 1
Mustard Seeds ½ tsp
Cumin/Jeera ½ tsp
Dry Red Chilli 1
Onion 1, small
Hing pinch
Curry leaves 5-6
Coriander Leaves/Cilantro handful
Grated Coconut 2 tbsp
Lemon ¼ slice
Oil 3 tsp
Water ¾ cup
Salt as per taste
