Join us on a winter walk around the village of Fittleworth and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Fittleworth is located approximately 15 miles north east of Chichester and 8 miles north of Arundel.

Due to its cinematic nature, this video is best watched on a large screen, such as a TV, to fully appreciate the visual detail and immersive aural experience we try to convey.

Our walk started at the C13 St Mary's church - more information may be found here - https://sussexparishchurches.org/chur....

Then on to Hesworth Common from where there are fabulous views of the north side of the South Downs.

A very muddy lane then took us to Lower Fittleworth. Sadly, The Swan, a coaching inn with roots as far back as C14, appears to have closed permanently, and looks like it is being converted for residential use. Surrounded by scaffolding, we felt it not worth filming.

We then continued along the banks of the River Rother for around half a mile. Aside from the bridge, which carries the B2138, this stretch of the river had little of interest at this time of year.

Continuing to Fittleworth Common, we were treated to the delightful chorus of numerous birds. Whilst we managed to film a few, they proved very illusive and fast! A Treecreeper was our best subject, but a little wobbly with the telephoto lens.

All background and natural sounds were recorded during our time filming.

We hope you enjoyed watching as much as we enjoyed walking. If you did, please remember to click the thumbs up (like) button, and leave a comment.
