Another one that I did by ear, though this one wasn't that bad. I think I finished the transcription in just under 8 hours, and only needed to revise the first sentence of the verse for being inaccurate. Initially, the part after the first chorus threw me off as a perceived tempo change, but upon listening to the drums, I realised it was a time signature change instead.

When it comes to arrangement, I decided very early on to include Japanese instruments. The reason is twofold. First and foremost, just for the sake of a change, so I don't keep using the same types of sounds. And a second is with the Branwens hailing from Anima, I wanted to allude to that. Later on, I also wanted to incorporate something to signify ill-omen, and settled on using low-tuned tubular bells as a substitute for church bells.
As a early idea, I had in mind to incorporate elements from the version used in the episode, but couldn't make that flow properly, so quickly scrapped that.

When it comes to the vocals, I elected to change the last line of the first pre-chorus, as Qrow can and has explained why he'd bring pain. Lastly, I changed the chord to the vocals the bridge ends on, as holding the stratosphereric notes that long sounded bad

Time spent working on the track: 35 hours.
