French Actor Alain Delon Dies at the Age of 88

French actor Alain Delon, loved by millions for his multiple roles, has died at the age of 88. His three children announced his death on Sunday. Delon was a prominent figure in the golden age of French cinema. He was known for his tough-guy roles in films like "The Samurai and Borsalino" among others. He rose to fame after his two films by Italian director Luchino Visconti, "Rocco and His Brothers" in 1960 and "The Leopard". He had been in poor health since a stroke in 2019. He rarely left his home in Douchy, located in France's Val de Loire region. President Emmanuel Macron hailed the actor as a giant part of French culture who "made the world dream".
