Run Time Environment (RTE) and Virtual Function Bus (VFB) are the 2 methodologies for software development in AUTOSAR. RTE is local to specific Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and VFB is the interconnecting bridge between multiple ECUs. Intra and Inter communications are established using RTE and VFB in automobile ECUs, which enables signal transmission and reception between multiple part of the vehicle.
