This documentary celebrates the Meet Weekend held every year in Barnard Castle during the late May Bank Holiday - an event started in May 1879.
Incorporating archive footage and photographs, some never before seen in public, the film explores the history of the Meet along with the many changes and development of the event during the past 130 years.
The weekend events include the Crowning of the Carnival Queen, the Boat Race, Puppet Workshop, Crazy Bowls at the Bowes Museum, the fun fair and grand procession on Bank Holiday Monday. Features interviews with participants including Carnival Queen, Libby Harding.
