Desktop vs Intraoral Scanners: Medit i900 vs Trios 5 vs Shining DS-EX Pro (Bite rim scan)

Описание к видео Desktop vs Intraoral Scanners: Medit i900 vs Trios 5 vs Shining DS-EX Pro (Bite rim scan)

In this video I'm comparing the medit i900 and trios 5 intraoral scanners to the Shining DS-EX Pro desktop scanner in terms of a bite rim and edentulous impressions. The desktop scanner will have the most accuracy because of calculated movements and stitching of scans, while the intraoral scanners are relying on continuous stitching of images using a smaller FOV.
The medit i900 has a larger scan tip than the trios 5, and the trios 5 has AI technology to help with stitching and staying on track.
Both scanners performed well. In terms of accuracy the medit i900 was more accurate as you will see in the video, but that doesn't mean it is clinically significant (since we are talking microns difference). This is also just one comparison, it doesn't mean that it is a definitive conclusion, rather just an experiment on one patient scan. I do think because of the larger scan tip the medit i900 had better stitching of the data overall.
