Classic TV Theme: Clueless (Full Stereo)

'Clueless', the 1995 comedy inspired by an 1815 Jane Austen novel, was brought to the tv screen a year later with some of the movie cast reprising their roles. Plugged into ABC's TGIF program block it did not live up to expectations and was cancelled after one season. But then, like 'Gidget', another teen comedy from decades earlier, ratings rose as viewers discovered it during the rerun season. Unlike 'Gidget', 'Clueless' survived as UPN snapped it up. Several characters left the show in the UPN years, and while it did well in its new home by season three it had lost more than 2/3 of its viewers and was a goner. One thing that stayed the same throughout was the theme: 'Ordinary Girl', composed by Charlotte Caffey (of The Go-Go's) and Anna Waronker; it is sung by China Forbes.
