Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, Christie Sides after Fever Game 1 loss to Connecticut | R1G1

Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, and Indiana Fever head coach Christie Sides answers questions from reporters at a postgame press conference following a 93-69 loss to the Connecticut Sun. It's the Fever's first playoff game since 2016.

The Fever were held to 40% shooting, including 6 of 28 (21.44%) from outside. Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 21 points, Aliyah Boston added 17 and 11. Caitlin Clark had trouble getting shots to fall, just 4 of 17 -- and 2 of 12 from range.

Marina Mabrey came off the bench and scored 20 of her game-high 27 points in the second half. Alyssa Thomas posted a triple-double (12-10-13) and DeWanna Bonner added 22 points while also defending Clark.

Game 2 of the best-of-three series is on Wednesday.
