It's been a long time since we've invested into our operation at EK, and in that time a new operator has sprung up. Qbus are a new independent operating around Lanarkshire and Glasgow, and while our current network in East Kilbride made it a challenge for them to get a foothold, it has some gaps that need filling. 2 new town services join the network to aid in improving the National Busways operation in the area, as well as renumbering the 210, 220, and 221 to the 205, 206, and 207. The 210 isn't an unused number for long, as it's also time to set our sights on Hamilton, and a direct service between East Kilbride and Hamilton is much needed. The new 210 fills this role, running every 10 minutes between East Kilbride bus station and Almada Street in Hamilton, with an extension to Hamilton Central due in time, and 1-in-3 buses providing a half-hourly link between Hamilton and Hairmyres Hospital. EK continues to be a stalwart for the B10BLE variant of the VW type.
