How to Make Flat Beans Sabzi (Walpapadi Chi Bhaji)

Serving Size - 4

Ingredients -

Chopped Flat Beans - 2 cups
Chopped Garlic - 2 Pieces
Chopped Green Chilies - 2 pieces
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder - 1 TSP
Oil - 4 TSP
Mustard Seeds - 1 TSP
Cumin Seeds - 1 TSP
Turmeric - 1/2 TSP
Asafoetida - 2-3 pinches
Jaggery powder - 2 TSP
Roasted Grounded Peanuts Powder - 2 TSP
Salt - 1 & ½ TSP


In stainless steel colander or chalni take chopped beans and steam this beans for 10 minutes or use
Steamer or IP if you have it.

In a hot kadhai/pan take 4 TSP Oil and then add 1 TSP Cumin Seeds and 1 TSP Mustard seeds. Once
It starts crackling then add chopped garlic pieces, fry it until you get a little light brown in color .
Add chopped green chillies, turmeric, red chilli powder saute for a while then add our steam
Flat beans in this tadka and mix it well. Then add 2 TSP Jaggery powder, 1 and ½ Salt and
Roasted grounded peanuts 2 TSP. Then add 3-4 TSP water and keep this sabzi on the gas for a
While. Keep stirring in between and that's it. You can add coriander for garnishing and serve
this sabzi with any kind of indian bread.
