If you thought the Escape Sequence in the original game was hard... oh man you don’t know what is waiting for you. VERY little room for errors, you basically have to play flawlessly to beat this one.

I honestly thought this would be easy after the fight with Pillar, but that was a mistake.
This Escape segment is just as brutal. It isn’t merely harder than the original, but probably among the most strict countdown sequences I have seen in a game period.

In a way, you could argue this is even worse:
With Pillar, you have the option to fight her lower difficulty version and/or use Consumables.
Here, you don’t get a choice. Consumables don’t help at all. The timer is fixed, no matter what.
So it’s purely on your skill to get this done.. And, honestly, I have a pretty hard time picturing an average player clearing this. The timer is just THAT strict...

That said, I still enjoyned this very much. A real challenge; I am just not very sure it fits for BEX.
Let’s just say if this Escape Sequence was made for Impossible difficulty on mind, I think it would fit right there. It just feels more Impossible tier, you know? For BEX it feels a little bit overkill :P
(UNLESS there is some sort of shortcut I don’t know about, that could change things)

What you have to know to truly understand how difficult this actually is:
Not all items are upgraded. In fact, most of them are at level 1.
This includes speed items such as Speed Boost, and Air Dash.

Combined with how strong the wind on BEX is, this is probably the main reason this is so hard. It’s incredibly easy to misjudge jumps here, and end up getting stuck in some random hole wasting time. There are also a couple of paths that are straight up dead ends; if you take them because don’t know the actual path, then you are dead. Not even a possibility, it’s straight up guaranteed.

Your two best tools to get around the strong wind and mitigate it’s effects are:

1) Any and all possible spots to get Quick Drops/Launches in. Seriously, SPAM THEM! And...
2) Ribbon Boosting is also a valuable Speed Up, even if for only a few seconds, it can make a difference, especially in certain spots (Particularly when moving aganist the wind).
Which boost you actually use seems to be irrelevant, although I think Blue seems to last a tiny bit more than the other colours. Might be wrong and may just be me, though.

Other than that, there is really not much that the items and badges can do for you here, aside from the obvious. Speed wise there is very little that helps you. You can’t miss movement items, but you can miss potions and the Book of Carrot (Less HP is self explanatory, less MP/Regen means less Ribbon Boosting and no Book of Carrot would mean no BP regen as well). I hope you collected everything before this or it might be actually impossible lol.

All of this aside though, from a technical aspect, the mere fact a completely original escape sequence was made on a custom map is just glorious. I wasn’t expecting this at all. Amazing job.
In case it wasn’t clear, this is exclusive to the Good End path. Bad End doesn’t get this sequence.

As for what happened with the 6:48 clip... well, I have about as much of a clue as you.
The randomizer in general just likes to do screwed up things like that, lol.
I might have cleared if it wasn’t for that, but the freaking hyper speed up music at 7:40 made me laugh so hard I didn’t really mind it xD. I think it’s safe to say it’s unwinnable like this though...
