"I was a special pioneer in the 1960's." Meet Robert

Описание к видео "I was a special pioneer in the 1960's." Meet Robert

Robert’s mom became a Jehovah’s Witness shortly after world war 2. He and his two sisters grew up in the religion. His father joined for a short time but decided it wasn’t for him.

In his teens, he became a regular pioneer and then a special pioneer for one year, dedicating 150 hours a month to the ministry.

He loved going to the library and reading philosophy. After one of the meetings, his friend said, “I don’t believe any of this stuff, do you?” he said he didn’t either. He never went back to the meetings after that.

Shortly after that, Robert went to study philosophy at Lancaster and later Biblical Studies at Cambridge.

Robert became a minister in the methodist church.

Robert shares how important it is for all humans to continually challenge their beliefs and have critical, personal, and intuitive thinking in their daily lives.
