円空仏を鉈で彫る Carve with a Japanese sword

円空仏を鉈をつかって彫ってました。
鉈彫りということばがありますが、荒々しく力強い刀跡を残して仕上げた、ものを鉈彫りと呼ぶ事があります。
実際には鉈だけではなく複数の道具を使っていたと思いますが、今回の彫刻は鉈一本を使って、どこまで彫れるのか挑戦してみました。
今回気づいたのは、細やかな作業のしやすい彫刻刀を使うと綺麗にととのえやすいのですが、綺麗に整える事で円空仏らしさがだせないともいえます。
しかしあえて扱いにくい鉈を使う事で綺麗に彫る事ができず、それがかえって面白い刀痕をのこしておもりろい仕上げになるようにおもいます。

Although there is a word “鉈”, it is sometimes called “鉈” which is finished by leaving rough and powerful sword marks.
In fact, I think that I used not only a kite but multiple tools, but this sculpture used one piece and tried to try how far it could be carved.
What I noticed this time is that it is easy to use a sculptor that is easy to carry out detailed work, but it can also be said that it can not be said to be an empty Buddha by preparing it beautifully.
However, it is impossible to carve beautifully by using an awkward chopstick, and it seems to be an interesting finish by scraping an interesting sword mark on the contrary.
