Each Kriti invokes a different emotion as it unfolds in its splendor. Bhakthi, tears , wonder, joy, and many other such feelings take over us as the song progresses, doesn't it?

This is a humble attempt to share with you a peep into what the composer might have felt while composing the kriti.


Sathguru Thyagaraja Swami's compositions are a perrenial spring of bhakthi and devotion. However he goes beyond surrender to the almighty, and many of his compositions teach us life lessons. In this Kriti - Bantureeti Koluveeyavaiya Rama in ragam Hamsanadam, he teaches us an important lesson on how to present ourselves when we approach somebody for a job :) and of course, in true Thyagaraja style, sings the praise of Lord Rama that will echo across generations.
