Since acquiring Chelsea for £2.5 billion in 2022, Todd Boehly and his BlueCo consortium have spent more money in a single season than any other club in the history of world football.

It has come as a shock to a lot of people, who expected Chelsea's spending to decrease under the US consortium, following 20 years in which the club was financed by Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.
