Learning to master copy | 🌷 Painting Van Gogh's Self-Portrait with Straw Hat

Welcome back to my art vlog!
This time I'm learning to master copy, painting Vincent Van Gogh's Self Portrait with Straw Hat. I have decided to break out from my realistic style box and try new things. Impressionism and post-impressionism are some of my favorite styles and I have heard many artists say that painting copies from the old masters is one of the best ways to learn... and they are right!
I picked this painting because it seemed like one of the easiest 😅... it wasn't so easy, but it was fun and a nice experience, I will definitely make more master copies in the future.

Esta vez estoy pintando una copia de "Autorretrato con sombrero de paja" de Vincent Van Gogh. He decidido salir de mi caja de estilo realista y probar cosas nuevas. El impresionismo y el postimpresionismo son algunos de mis estilos favoritos y he oído a muchos artistas decir que pintar copias de los grandes maestros es una de las mejores maneras de aprender... ¡y tienen razón!
Elegí este cuadro porque parecía uno de los más fáciles 😅... no fue tan fácil, pero fue divertido y una bonita experiencia, definitivamente haré más copias maestras en el futuro.
