∙ Orion once defeated Darkseid for a short time, and brought peace to Earth like never before, making the net a utopia like New Genesis.
∙ Orion’s best friend Light Ray, was a major influence to him to become a great hero.
∙ His first encounter with Earth's heroes was through Superman. Having limited knowledge of the New Gods, Superman mistook him for a servant of Darkseid.
∙ Orion and Lightray served with the Justice League Of America for a time.
