Blue Penguins in New Zealand!

Filmed in January 2024, the Sol Searchers cruised the east coast of wild and beautiful New Zealand as far down the "Roaring 40's" as Dunedin! In picturesque Oamaru, they visited one of Dee's favorite places: The Blue Penguin Colony. In this episode, our Sol Searchers again meet with Dr. Phillipa Agnew, who runs the colony and is their chief researcher. They dive into the breeding cycle, the tracking of the penguins to monitor their well-being and get to see other critters that co-habit with the penguins along the Oamaru shoreline: Fur Seals!
