春節とは、中国歴やその他のアジアの文化圏で広く祝われる、新年を祝うイベントです。太陽暦に基づき1月21日から2月20日の間に行われ、中国やアジアの多くの地域では数週間にわたって、爆竹が鳴り響き、花火、龍や獅子の舞、伝統的な食事など、各地でおおいに賑わいます。これまで東京では、春節を祝うイベントが行われていませんでした。そんな状況をかえるべく、様々な企業や自治体が集結し、東京の冬の名物イベントとしてウエノデ.パンダ春節祭を開催。パンダや、中国の伝統的な文化、食事などに触れるイベントとして、去年に引き続き、今年も開催が決定しました。

Spring Festival is a New Year's event that is widely celebrated in Chinese and other Asian cultures. Held between January 21st and February 20th according to the solar calendar, it is celebrated over several weeks in many parts of China and Asia, with fireworks, dragon and lion dances, and traditional meals. It's very crowded. Until now, no events have been held in Tokyo to celebrate the Chinese New Year. In order to change this situation, various companies and local governments have come together to hold the Uenode Panda Spring Festival, a famous winter event in Tokyo.
