Preparing The John Deere F1145 For Snow Plowing (Timelapse)

I've been meaning to upload this video for a while and finally had the chance to do it.

I decided to buy a 54 blade for the F1145. I've hated for many years to see this sit all winter without being used. The 4WD and weight of it make it a great candidate for snow plowing/ snow blowing.

I had purchased the plow in October, my local dealer who I had purchased it from reconditioned it, painted, replaced hoses, and put a new wear bar on. I decided to address everything that the F1145 needed and anything that could cause downtime while snow plowing. Although there was a lot to do, it was well worth it.
This gets run hard during mowing season and certain things on it needed attention. It has 1900 hours on it and runs amazing. I don't think 1900 hours is very much for one of these considering how well they are designed and built.

My friend did an excellent job welding the muffler, it is truly stronger than stock. Honestly replacing the fuel pickups was probably the most time consuming part of this whole project, dropping and reinstalling the tanks. I haven't done it on this F1145 before, but now I know what is involved in order to do it.

The Auxiliary hydraulic kit was the big item that was needed to pull the installation of the plow off. By the looks of it, this F1145 was probably only used to mow. I was very happy with how the install of the kit went.

At this point in time, I have a light setup mounted on it and working. I will feature it in another video. Btw, I think I ripped my jeans at some point in this project lol!

Thanks for watching!
