In this video, we will explore the experience of an NCC Cadet on the very First Day of the NCC Para Basic Course. NCC Para Basic Course is a unique training program where NCC Cadets are trained by the Indian Armed Forces’ Paratroopers in Sky Diving and Para Jumping.

Our speaker for this #camptalks episode is Cdt. Naman Sharma, an accomplished NCC paratrooper. In this episode of #camptalks, he will shed light on the various facets of the Para Basic Course.

The Para Basic Course held twice a year in September and November, is a coveted opportunity for NCC cadets. Each camp has 40 reserved vacancies - 20 for girls (SWs) and 20 for boys (SDs). The selection process is rigorous, requiring excellent physical stamina.

This course is part of the extensive training activities conducted by the National Cadet Corps, India’s largest youth grooming organization. The training includes institutional training at colleges and schools, conducted by Associate NCC Officers and Armed Forces personnel, and camp training, which introduces cadets to a regimented way of life.
