Why the 1949 Oldsmobile 88 was the first muscle car

There has been many a debate on what the first muscle car was, the first American mass-market car built specifically for performance. Some say the '64 GTO, others the '62 Impala and some say the Hudson Hornet or even other vehicles. Today I will demonstrate how, in fact, it was the 1949 Oldsmobile 88 304 c.i. coupe.
