In this webinar hosted by the Nyaya Forum for Courtroom Lawyering, Mr. Akshay Bhan (Senior Advocate) deciphers the "Art of Oral Advocacy". He explains how mastering this art traverses beyond merely honing one's oratory skills and capturing the skill to convince and persuade a judicial mind. Conceptualizing and defining oral advocacy as a holistic concept, he shares valuable insights from his vast experience as a litigating lawyer based out of Chandigarh. He touches on aspects such as body language, confidence, the content of submissions, intellectual humility, the importance of attentive listening, and strategically presenting one's case with a client-centric attitude and passion before a judge in a court of law.
Mr. Bhan graduated from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore in 1998 and in 2014 became the first-ever NLSIU graduate to be designated a Senior Advocate. He has over 20 years of experience in litigating in diverse fields, such as constitutional law, arbitration law, tax law, and criminal law.

The session was moderated by Mr. Abhijeet Singh Rawaley, Advocate (NALSAR 2020).
