Situated: Produced at the Midleton distillery, Cork, Southern Ireland
Owned by: Irish Distillers Ltd (Pernod Richard)

NAS Single Pot Still Whiskey
Malted and unmalted barley – triple distilled
Matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks and finished in Bodegas Lustau Oloroso seasoned sherry butts
ABV 46%
Non Chill filtered


COLOUR
Oloroso sherry
NOSE
Sherry, sweet dried prunes and figs, vanilla cream, toasted oak shavings, cinnamon, nutmeg
DROP IN THE PALM – fresh brown bread and dusty hay
TASTE
Complex, rich, fruity, sweet, creamy, Christmas spices, honey, oak wood pepper, crisp pot still
FINISH
Medium long, sweet, oaky, pepper
EMPTY GLASS – light sweet sherry aroma

WITH WATER:
Nose: cooked prunes and cinnamon dusted vanilla custard
Taste: creamy honey and sherry with warm peppery finish

COMMENT: worth while addition to any whisky shelf
