Slate Digital EQs - Deep Dive

Why is it that we have so many EQs to choose from in the plugin world, not just in the Slate Digital offering? Could it be that one EQ doesn't necessarily sound identical to another? Does it offer different EQ curves? That's exactly what I wanted to find out!

There are several EQs and tone shaping plugins in the Slate Digital All Access Pass - and beyond - that all offer something different when mixing. I wanted to find out exactly how these EQs differ, and why they sound so different. Is this high shelf on a Neve emulation really that different to a high shelf on an SSL emulation?
