By request, I'm hearing them for the first time and analyzing the live in Colorado version of "And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope" (from their debut album "Portal of I"). In this video I discuss their insanely-clever use of orchestration, brilliant instrumentation, how each member gets an equal slice of the spotlight-pie, the time signatures and chord progressions used, the bassist's soaring (and often contrapuntal) lines, and much more.
