Final Fantasy VIII is a divisive chapter of the legendary series that introduced me to JRPGs in 2003.
The game's story revolves around the protagonist Squall Leonheart, an introverted and strong young man who studies and trains to beome part of the SeeDs, specialized soldiers who operate as mercenaries at the Balamb Garden.
Squall will fight alongside other protagonists and will grow and learn how to trust his companions and open himself in a story which involves war, rivality and love.
The game features interesting mechanics like the original Junction System that permits high customization of the playable characters, but is overally a poor balanced experience due to many exploitable abilities.
