Kibungan Traverse (3D2N Hike Feb.10-12, 2023) Benguet - Ilocos Sur - La Union

Kibungan is dubbed as Switzerland of Philippines" Kibungan is located benguet which conveys grandeur of endless scenic landscape composed of rice terraces, rock formations, waterfalls and pine tree forest.

In 2006 YABAG Mountaineering named the trail route as Kibungan Cross Country trek, the first route was 4 days hike from Kibungan town proper and exit to town proper of Sugpon, it was a 50km hike, 2 and a half days on the mountain trail and 1 and a half river trekking through Amburayan river from Barangay Likongan to Sugpon Town Proper.

Kibungan Cross Country Traverse also known as "KXC", (though really not a cross country hike) is a hike starting from the town of Kibungan in Benguet, descending to the town of Licungan / Sugpon in the province of Ilocos Sur, and finally making that final push to the municipality of Santol, La Union. In this regard, KXC is also popularly referred to as "tri-provincial traverse".
