Can The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Climb a Shivering Mountain?

Today the Royal Enfield Classic 350 takes on Mam Tor in the Derbyshire Peak District. Known as the Shivering Mountain, due to the frequent landslips, Mam Tor was used by Royal Enfield in the advert film for the Meteor.

This is one of my all time rides, starting in Hope, we take the road to Edale and the Penny Pot Café.

After a coffee and cake break it’s back on the bike to climb the mountain. The views are mind-blowing looking down the Edale Valley. Snaking up the slopes the view explodes as we cross the summit.

It’s then down Winnats Pass, through Castleton back to Hope.
So shut out the bad weather, grab a cuppa and let’s have a ride
