Ken's Labyrinth is a first-person shooter game developed by Ken Silverman and published by Epic MegaGames in 1993. The game is notable for its graphical similarities to id Software's Wolfenstein 3D, featuring levels with perpendicular walls and textureless floors and ceilings. However, it distinguishes itself with interactive sprites and textures, such as slot and vending machines, which were innovative for the time.

Ken Silverman, who was only seventeen years old at the time of the game's release, not only programmed the game but also composed and arranged the entire soundtrack. His work on Ken's Labyrinth would later lead to his development of the Build engine, which powered other famous games like Duke Nukem 3D.

The game consists of three episodes, with the first episode originally released as shareware. In a move to support the gaming community, Ken Silverman released the full version as freeware in November 1999, and subsequently, the source code was made available in 2001. This has allowed for ports to modern operating systems and the creation of tools like the KKIT/SDL, an unofficial editor's toolkit for the game.

Ken's Labyrinth is set in a maze where the player character and their dog Sparky have been kidnapped by aliens. The player must navigate through the labyrinth, which serves as a test of intelligence, to prevent Earth from being turned into coal for the aliens' jelly-making stoves. The game features a variety of power-ups and interactive elements, such as slot machines that can be played using coins found within the labyrinth.

Despite its quirks and the fact that it may not have the same level of polish as some of its contemporaries, Ken's Labyrinth is remembered for its creativity and charm. It offers a unique experience that showcases the early innovations that would later influence the first-person shooter genre.
