Here's Lego Island, one of my favorite childhood games. You control 1 of 5 characters, and is a free-roaming based game where you do what you feel like. Depending on which character you choose, there are many small elements that change around the island, as you will be referred to your character's name and his/her traits. I played as each character for a little while and fooled around with as much dialog as I could, but I couldn't have possibly showed every single cut scene, since there are so many. As far as missions went, I did all of them one time through except for the pizza delivery, which I did once with every character as the delivery location changes for each. The rest are the same with every character, the only thing that changes is the dialog. I felt this wasn't enough to warrant doing it once with every character (especially with both races, which don't change AT ALL), so I only did the non-pizza deliveries once. More detailed comments down below:
Pepper: Changes plants and hats. I did the tow truck mission first, where you have to go to the race track. One recurring thing you will find here is that they always want you to take the longest path when it comes to these missions just as an excuse to throw more obstacles in. I also built the Dune Buggy, but did not repaint it. The rest I'll be painting entirely in yellow, which was a bad idea on the helicopter. Oh well. I also show the vehicle runaway bug here, a strange glitch where if you are driving and you get out while moving, the vehicle goes on its own. It does this on all of them, and it's strange. There's also some exploration here, but I will not be delivering the pizza for Pepper as he is assigned to the jail, and that's how the Brickster escapes. It's the best part of the game, but 1) I want it saved for last and 2) I hadn't built the helicopter yet.
Nick Brick: Before switching, I decided to show off the Infomaniac's dialog, in case anybody wanted to see it. Nick changes the colors of things, which is quite fun to do on the characters. I did by accident on Gideon Worse at one point (poor guy already suffers enough!). Firstly, I did the ambulance here, where you have to go to the police station then the Pizzeria, the former for catching a guy on a roof and the latter for helping a guy choking. This was one of my favorite parts of the game, mostly because of how funny Enter and Return are. The pizza delivery for Nick is to bring it to the gas station. Enter and Return are seen arguing here. How convenient and fitting I did the hospital before this.
Laura Brick: She changes the way people walk, but does nothing to plants. Before I went outside, I went into the elevator. However, when you are in the elevator, you are still considered outside, so I had a cut scene play while I was in there. It was...amusing. I went onto the observation deck and fooled with the paper airplanes, the sky color, and Captain Click. I also did pizza delivery for the hospital and raced. Thankfully I didn't hit that stupid skeleton.
Mama Brickolini: She changes the noises things make if you click on them. Her pizza delivery is for the police station. I fooled around with the jukebox for a bit, then did the jetski race.
Papa Brickolini: He changes what things do when you click on them. I did the one thing I hadn't done yet - listen to the radio. I always do this on the observation deck because I personally think it's the best place to do so, since you have things to look at while you listen. Everywhere else it's just boring.
I switched back to Pepper, built the helicopter, and delivered the Brickster's pizza. After he escapes, you first chase him around. When he drops a piece, you have to pick it up. He speeds up quite a bit every time he does that, so you have to keep a close eye on him. After that, you look for four more, with whistling getting louder the closer you get. After that, you get into the helicopter to fire pizzas to slow the Brickster down and donuts to speed up Nick and Laura. The problem is Nick and Laura are braindead, and even if the Brickster is RIGHT NEAR THEM they will go any way they choose. It adds so much fake difficulty and is annoying. Luckily it fell perfectly into place, and I got the Brickster trapped and caught.
